Culture center grand opening and art show to happen May 20
—On May 20, a family-friendly nature festival, and cultural center grand opening will be held from 12 to 4 p.m., including an interactive watercolor art project for children with Rosanne Seitz, while Bernie Kurtz & Larry Kappen paint plein air on the Dana Adobe grounds.
An ongoing art exhibit will combine art and history together for this community event. The new cultural center is the result of dedication & hard work to preserve not only the Dana Adobe but educate & keep the community history alive. S.L.O.P.E. artists are honored to be part of this new beginning and to show the work they have been doing for many months in painting the adobe and surrounding area. Speeches and dignitaries and tree planting start at 10 a.m. til noon. The Dana Adobe is located at 671 South Oakglen Ave. in Nipomo.
