Eberle Winery issued a press release this week to thank everyone who voted for the winery as one of the Best Winery Tours in the USA, according to USA Today. With a final list of 20 wineries, and voted second (the only winery in San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara Counties), the award highlights Eberle’s goal of educating visitors while they come to taste world-class award-winning wines.
“We’re proud of what we do and consider this a huge honor in the wine industry,” says owner Marcy Eberle.
Eberle Winery is currently celebrating 38 years of winemaking in Paso Robles. Gary Eberle, often called the “Godfather” of the Paso Robles wine region, introduced the first 100 percent syrah to the United States, but also says cabernet sauvignon is the grape of the Central Coast.
“I love being a grape grower and I love being a winemaker. Paso Robles makes this easy. But we want our guests to know how the grapes get into the bottle,” he says.
Eberle Winery is home to 17,000 square feet of underground caves where all of their wines are aged in oak barrels. Complimentary cave tours and wine tastings are offered daily.
Eberle Winery is located at 3810 Highway 46 East in Paso Robles, CA. Open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit eberlewinery.com. For more information on the USA Today article, visit 10best.com.
