–The California Grapevine has recognized Paso Robles’ Eberle Winery as the producer of the most awarded Cabernet Sauvignon in California.
Every year from January through the summer wineries submit new vintages to wine competitions from San Francisco to New York, Los Angeles to Dallas where experts taste blind, discuss attributes, and decide on Gold, Silver, and Best of. Eberle Winery every year is in the top wine awards and in 2018 received more votes than any other cabernet sauvignons reviewed.
California Grapevine annually tallies results from the country’s 15 most influential wine competitions and the winningest Cabernet Sauvignon in 2018 was the Eberle 2015 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles.
Winery founder and owner Gary Eberle said, “Since I made my home in the Central Coast in 1973, I’ve believed that Paso Robles produces some of California’s best Cabernet Sauvignon, among many other wine grape varietals. It’s great to have our confidence validated.”
Two other Eberle wines, the 2016 Zinfandel and the 2017 Muscat Canelli, both ranked number eight in their own respective medal categories and the 2017 Cotes du Robles Blanc was one of only three wines to earn five Gold medals overall.
Eberle Winery is celebrating 39 years of winemaking in Paso Robles and Gary Eberle is one of only 17 recipients of a Lifetime Achievement Award in Wine from the State of California. More information on the winery can be found online at www.EberleWinery.com.
