Feel like you are in Italy without leaving the country.
Italian-style romance among majestic oak trees, and lush gardens and vineyards
It isn’t surprising that the Tuscan-inspired CaliPaso Villa is a popular venue for weddings and other events. The luxurious private villa and winery is surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards to accommodate private events while two tasting rooms are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Paso Robles, and downtown San Luis Obispo.
The villa has eight exquisitely appointed suites that can be reserved individually, or reserve the entire villa for an event. Guests enjoy the luxurious accommodations and attention to detail, including a gourmet breakfast prepared by an executive chef at the onsite restaurant. After breakfast, it’s only a short drive from the villa to the downtown CaliPaso tasting room to enjoy complimentary wine tasting.
The villa has become a highly sought-after venue for weddings. According to Jaime Glenn, the chief operating officer, “It’s a great place to feel like you are in Italy without having to travel out of the country. Paso Robles is a wonderful location for a destination wedding, and we are now enjoying a busy wedding season with more bookings year after year.”
It’s hard to image a setting more idyllic. Surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and hundreds of acres of lush vineyards, the villa has a unique setting that highlights Paso Robles’s natural beauty. The outdoor terraces are perfect for champagne receptions or al fresco dinning. With manicured gardens, majestic oak trees, a romantic courtyard and surrounding vineyard views, this location is a photographer’s dream.
The culinary team creates a menu paired with CaliPaso’s wine for a decadent reception. In addition to the weddings, the winery also offers pop-up winemaker dinners and other special events at the villa where the culinary offerings paired with wine are sure to impress attendees.
The tasting rooms offers their own special events with live music every Friday and Saturday night and are into the evening so locals and tourists can enjoy a glass of wine before strolling through downtown Paso or San Luis Obispo to explore the many fine dining establishments. For those looking for food to enjoy with their tasting, the CaliPaso culinary team creates daily cheese and charcuterie plates.
Enrique Torres, the senior winemaker, became a winemaker when he was 25-years old after working his way up in the cellar at other Paso Robles wineries. His specialty is working with grape varietals that thrive well in Paso Robles and other areas of the Central Coast. Producing wine from the estate vineyards, as well as from grapes sourced from the Paso Robles and Monterey AVAs, the wine offering includes albariño, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, grenache, zinfandel, tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon and cellar select blends.
The CaliPaso Winery and Villa are located at 4230 Buena Vista Dr. in Paso Robles. The downtown tasting room is located at 809 13th St.. The San Luis Obispo tasting room is located at 570 Higuera St., Suite 185.
