Art walks in SLO County—Self-guided art walks for an opportunity to experience visual, literary and performing art in galleries and other venues throughout San Luis Obispo County. For maps and more information

• Art and About Paso: Every first Saturday 5-9 p.m.
• Art After Dark San Luis Obispo: Every first Friday 5-8 p.m.
• Los Osos second Saturday of each month 1-4 p.m.
• Morro Bay, fourth Saturday of each month 1-4 p.m.
Farmers Markets
• Arroyo Grande—Two weekly markets on Wednesdays 8:30-11 a.m. Smart and Final parking lot at 1464 East Grand Ave. and Saturdays noon-2:30 p.m. at Olohan Alley in the Village.
• Atascadero—Wednesdays 3-6 p.m. at Atascadero Sunken Gardens at East Mall Ave.
• Avila Beach—Fridays 4-8 p.m. at the Avila Promenade and Front St.
• Baywood/Los Osos—Mondays 2-4:30 p.m. on Santa Maria St. between 2nd and 3rd St.
• Cambria—Fridays 2:30–5:30 p.m. at 1000 Main St.
• Cayucos—Fridays 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. until August 30 at Ocean Ave. and D St. Market.
• Morro Bay—Two weekly markets on Thursdays 2-4:30 p.m. at 2650 Main St. and Saturdays 2:30-5:30 p.m. at Main St. and Morro Bay Blvd.
• Paso Robles—Two weekly markets at 11th and Spring St. on Tuesdays 9-11:30 a.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m.-1 p.m. near Downtown City Park.
• Pismo Beach—Wednesdays 4-7 p.m. on the Pier Promenade.
• San Luis Obispo—Three weekly markets on Thursdays 6-9 p.m. Downtown San Luis Obispo, on Tuesdays 2:30-5:30 p.m. 224 Tank Farm Rd, and Saturdays 8-10:45 a.m. at 325 Madonna Road, World Market and Embassy Suites parking lot.
• Templeton—9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at City Park, 550 Crocker St.

Morro Bay Winter Bird Festival
Jan 13-16— This annual ecotourism event draws birdwatchers from all over the country. The festival features 160 events, field trips, workshops and master classes. Held at various locations around Morro Bay. Registration and details:
