a visually delightful journey from the city of San Luis Obispo to the beautiful, pristine and lively city of Avila Beach. This spectacular one of a kind trail, is a winding beauti- ful 5 miles, round-trip trail that
is smooth, mostly flat and it has
a very little incline, which makes
it a perfect for an intermittently shaded, carefree walk or stroll or an ideal place to take a run or lace up your skates. This location is ideal for people of all ages who want to see nature, breath the fresh ocean air while getting some exercise.
If you get hungry there is a ca- sual restaurant on the trail offering
to see the Avila Golf Course, a long and visually inviting bridge that takes you over the water, which is full of wildlife and beautiful birds.
After your jog, walk, hike or bike, head to the beachfront shops to find gifts to take home, a new bikini or check out one of many wine tasting rooms. There are a couple of excellent coffee shops and a children’s playground. Book a stay in one of the many unique hotels that are available in Avila that range from small, intimate boutique locations to oceanfront suites. The beach is beautiful, the restaurants are plenty and the people are friendly.
