New With Tags has delighted SLO County locals and tour- ists since 2015 with handpicked clothing and other items from upscale brands, offered at a sensible price, in a cozy, welcoming store in downtown Paso Robles.
“I put my heart and soul into this store bringing people mid-tier contemporary designer fashion at a more reasonable price. Textile waste is the second worst thing killing our planet next to oil and gas. There is so much waste.

Berti decided to open New
With Tags after
the timing felt
perfect: being
inspired working
in various consignment boutiques, after her sons had grown older, and by receiving support from her hus- band and friends. The consignment process at the boutique is a collab- orative effort between the con- signor and Berti to bring the best pieces possible onto the floor, with consignors receiving 40 percent of the final price when items sell.
“Every piece in my store is something I personally would wear or suggest to a friend,” said Berti,

adding that “everything is orga- nized, clean and ready to wear. It’s like shopping in your best friend's closet... the one that has excep-
tional taste.” Just a few
brands that can be found at New With Tags include Anthropologie, Lululemon, and Free People, among many other recognizable, high quality companies. All clothing must be from within the past three years in order to accurately price up to 70
percent off the retail price; clothing with tags are 50 percent off the original price and in the last month on the floor, items are marked 30 percent off. Be sure to pick up your favorite pieces when you spot them as clothing is only available for 90 days. Consignors have the choice to take back their unsold items after 90 days or have New With Tags make a donation to local chari- ties, such as The Christian Thrift
Store, Mission Thrift, and NCI. In addition to clothing, other brand new items for sale that Berti brings
in include jewelry, decor, shoes, candles and more.
“This is my passion, I love clothes and fashion of all kinds and want to bring every price point to those that love it too,” Berti said.
