Welcome to San Luis Obispo County
Welcome to the Central Coast and thank you for picking up this copy of the San Luis Obispo County Visitor’s Guide!
Not only is fall a busy time for har-
vest for the many farms and vineyards throughout the region, the cooling weather announces popular fairs and festivals that showcase the bounty of the Central Coast. Local farms, artists, artisans, chefs and winemakers offer their goods and wares for the public to enjoy during a wide range of events. Any time is the perfect time to visit the Central Coast because each season brings new adventures.
The arrival of crisp weather and earlier nightfall invariably turns people’s thoughts to the coming holidays and Christmas shopping. Not only does our region feature some of the best shopping, dining and wine in California, but our county is also home to the Cambria Christmas Market. The annual celebration runs for a month between Nov. 24 and Dec. 23 and is a holiday destina- tion for locals and visitors from all over the nation.
Featuring over
two million lights in
interactive displays,
an authentic German
market, Santa, train
rides, vendor booths and food and drink, the market usually sells out early. Tickets are on sale now. Read all about it in this issue.
This magazine is packed with information about wineries, restaurants, shops, museums, hiking, beaches and places to stay. Each page opens to rich choices of things to do and see that are suited for the whole family.
On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to ex- tend a warm welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay!
