Welcome to
San Luis
Obispo
County
It’s spring on the Central Coast and there’s
a lot going on! The foothills are turning
green with new growth and the season is
promising warmer weather. Along with your
favorite places to visit while here, be among
the first to check out the newest things to do.
The next few months blending into
summer have some of the most beautiful
weather on the Central Coast. Crisp sun-
ny mornings drift into warm, energizing
afternoons, and starlit evenings—perfect
for enjoying your favorite Central Coast
activities. What better way to spend a
spring afternoon than enjoying fine wine
or spirits and food at Opolo Winery?
Opolo Winery just polished off its
25th year of producing some of the finest
wines in the region. The vineyards are
Sustainability in Practice (SIP) certi-
fied, and the wines reflect both the rich
heritage and progressive winemaking for
which Paso Robles is renowned. Special-
ties include the winery’s flagship Opolo
Mountain Zinfandel and its acclaimed
cabernet sauvignons and a list of wines
including chardonnay, albariño, merlot,
sangiovese, petite sirah, rosé, and more.
Their wines routinely score 90+ points in
a variety of journals and competitions,
proving all their hard work is paying off.
Enjoy tasting
flights and food
pairings, as well as
spirits sampling at
the affiliated Willow
Creek Distillery. For the ultimate experience,
take an immersive Estate Tour through the
vineyards, and even make it an overnight at the
Inn at Opolo.
Visitors and locals alike are shopping, din-
ing, wine tasting, hiking, cycling, exploring the
beaches, tidepools, and marine life, and the many
historical landmarks that fill our streets and back
roads. There are hotels, motels, vacation rentals,
and other lodging for every budget and family.
Outdoor activities are plentiful. Be sure to take
advantage of the kid-friendly activities, too!
Thank you for reading this copy of the San
Luis Obispo County Visitor’s Guide and discov-
ering so many of the unique, interesting, and en-
joyable places to see and things to do. On behalf
of our entire staff, I would like to extend a warm
welcome. We hope you enjoy your stay.
Remember, if you run out of time, you are
always welcome back to do and see more!
Beth Brennan and her
