– The Granada Hotel & Bistro in San Luis Obispo has announced that it will be hosting a special New Year’s Day Brunch, Sunday Jan. 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Chef Kenny Bigwood will be serving San Luis Obispo’s best comfort food and healthy fare, such as duck confit with sweet potato hash, Granada’s homemade bacon, and avocado toast with farm-fresh eggs and slow-roasted tomato salsa, while Mixologist Dominque Gonzales concocts boozy recovery elixirs, as well as detoxifying mocktails.
“We are extremely excited New Year’s Day falls on a Sunday,” says Granada’s co-founder, Kimberly Walker. “It allows us to share our normal Sunday Brunch menu, while having fun and creating some truly unique specials from the kitchen and bar.”
“After a night of partying, sometimes I want healthy food, sometimes I go for comfort,” Walker says. “And that’s what’s great about all of our menus: we specialize in gourmet comfort food and excel in creating some of SLO’s tastiest healthy dishes.”
What’s more, brunch-goers have the option to hide from the sun inside the dining room or soak up the rays on Granada’s hallmark street-level patio.
