The 89th Annual Pioneer Day is Oct. 12, pre-party Sept. 21
On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Paso Robles Pioneer Day Committee will be kicking off the 89th Annual Pioneer Day with Pre-Pioneer Day party at the Paso Robles Event Center. This time-honored tradition lives on as locals and friends gather to celebrate “the spirit of the harvest” just as they have done since 1931.
This honorary celebration of Paso Robles Pioneer Day is a wonderful way to support Pioneer Day and meet this year’s Pioneer Day Royalty. The festivities will start at 5 p.m. in Frontier Town, guests will enjoy cocktail hour, samplings of food such as tri-tip sliders, baby back ribs, sausage, chicken wings, street tacos, and chuck-wagon desserts.
There will be a silent and live auction for items like a winemaker’s dinners, and wine tasting for a group of 8, a pig hunt, trip to Mexico, tickets to the infamous Firestone Beer Festival, tickets to the Best of the West Tractor Show, and many silent auction items. After the auction, the casino will start with games such as black jack, Texas hold-em, and roulette.
Everyone is welcomed to attend and partake in this annual tradition. Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 for teenagers, kids 12-and-under are free. Tickets may be purchased online at Eventbrite, or at the Paso Robles American Riviera Bank and at the door.
Proceeds help pay for Pioneer Day and all of its events, and to maintain and restore the fine tractors, wagons and other equipment that belong to the community.
The 89th Annual Pioneer Day Parade will take place Oct. 12th at 10 a.m. starting at 16th and Spring streets. www.pasoroblespioneerday.org.
