The Educated Gardener is hosting a fundraising event for the Creston Elementary School Garden Project. “Spring into the Garden” will take place from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, March 18, 2012. The event will feature a BBQ, raffle, garden art, and children’s activities (including face painting), as well as seminars from Gopher Goo and Dr. Earth.

Currently, Creston Elementary School does not have a school garden. The Educated Gardener would like to install raised beds and fill them with flowers, fruit, and vegetables.

“My husband likes to bring a garden to every school that he works at,” said Educated Gardener owner Simone Smith, “We hosted a similar fundraising event for Santa Margarita Elementary a few years ago.”
