British heavy metal band from the 60’s coming to SLO in April

—Uriah Heep, a progressive English hard rock band formed in 1969, will be live in beautiful downtown San Luis Obispo on Wednesday, April 18 at the historic Fremont Theater.  Uriah Heep still upholds the traditions and quality of original progressive hard rockers, forged at the very beginning of the “Golden Era” for this music. Like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, Uriah Heep helped invent a decorative and uniquely British form of heavy metal with their debut album, Very ‘Eavy, Very ‘Umble, offered as a self-titled on American shores, but whatever the titling, historically massive in the invention of a music format that would rule the ‘70s and only intensify in the ‘80s. At this time they had Kiss, ZZ Top, Foreigner and Rush as support bands which gave those bands their first break.

The show goes from 8:00-11:30 p.m. Opening by local favorite, Stone Mountain.

Special VIP Meet & Greet Package available. Tickets on sale now via www.Eventbrite.com or locally at Boo Boo Records.
