Well-known restaurant is a prime spot for sports fans

-For tourists and locals searching to find a hidden treasure in Pismo Beach, look no further than Scotty’s Bar & Grill. In business since 1997, the restaurant serves a pleasant mix of both loyal local customers and out of town visitors who come for a day of fun on the Central Coast. It has a prime location, just minutes from the beachfront, which encourages diners to satisfy their appetite while enjoying the close proximity to the water.

One of the draws to Scotty’s Bar & Grill is that it is the only sports bar in Pismo Beach, which guarantees a large crowd of energetic sports fans on any given game night. The bar has five large screen televisions turned to the sports channel for diners to enjoy catching up on the latest game. On Sundays, the bar shows the football game through the NFL Sunday Ticket on Direct TV. The environment is primarily sports oriented, so Scotty’s is the prime location for those avid sports fans. The bar and grill balances this atmosphere by also being a family friendly environment for diners of every age.

Scotty's Bar & GrillSince the business changed ownership in July 2015, the menu has expanded to include a variety of delicious options, including bar appetizers, burgers, hot sandwiches, salads and more. The gourmet food is homemade with the grill serving up fresh fish and flavorful garnishes to its patrons every day. Make sure to relish in their signature Wahoo Tacos and Classic Fish Tacos at any time; the fish is lightly battered and fried and served with delectable ingredients such as pepper jack cheese, cilantro jalapeno ranch and green onions. Yummy options for breakfast include meals such as the Crabs Benedict and the Pismo Scramble, a mouth watering plate that includes spinach, mushrooms, eggs and the option of ground beef. These dishes reflect the beach town attitude the restaurant offers to its customers.

To complement your meal, grab a drink from the bar; Happy Hour is weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. While ordering your drink or sipping away, admire the beautifully carved bar that has a secret history. Rumoured to be over 125 years old, the bar is made of Italian hand carved wood and was bought at auction. This is a fun trivia fact about the restaurant that only cements its uniqueness to the surrounding Pismo Beach neighborhood.
