Fine art of the west and California’s Central Coast

Heritage Gallery West reflects the spirit and natural beauty of the Central Coast with works of art and sculpture that depicts our western culture, wine country and roaming ranch land.

Fine art by local and internationally acclaimed artists is represented in a beautiful gallery bathed in natural light, warm colors, and the visibility of a busy corner location in the heart of downtown Paso Robles. July 2015 marks the two-year anniversary for Heritage Gallery West.

Robert and Lisa Urciuoli and their two children moved to Paso Robles in 2006 after many visits to the area; always leaving inspired by the beauty and pastoral feel of the rolling hills and the vineyards. Lisa grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania, later living in the fast pace of Southern California.

Yearning to return to a more enriching way of life and raise their children in the area that inspired them, they chose Paso Robles to be their home. Lisa said, “Eventually we decided to become more vested in our community and open a small business. Since our friend and business partner, Tim Wiegand is the owner of Heritage Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona,” she said, “we felt that fine art would be a perfect fit with the wine community and tourism.

In 2013, the art market was at a low point. “But we had this vision and felt strongly that our gallery would thrive, particularly with the type of art we’d be showing; namely high-end Western fine art and California landscapes. Once opening we recognized that our clients were also craving artwork that represented our own area’s scenery, so we began introducing several exceptional local artists including Sheryl Knight from Santa Maria,” she said. A special showing of Sheryl’s latest work will be presented at Elegant Evening Downtown on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

For local clients, the gallery will gladly take a variety of paintings to the client’s home to evaluate how each piece feels and compliments the home’s decor prior to purchase. Along with the Scottsdale gallery, Heritage Gallery West maintains relationships with other galleries; allowing access to the artists that their collectors are seeking.

Lisa adds, “To appeal to a wide range of buyers, we offer original artwork from internationally recognized artists as well as more affordable pieces from regional rising stars.” Heritage Gallery West also carries limited edition giclee reproductions on canvas that are a fraction of the cost of an original painting while retaining the clarity of the original. Lisa adds, “Whether our guests are seasoned collectors or those just beginning a new adventure in fine art, we can find the perfect piece to complement their lifestyle. Our goal is to bring a traditional component to the local art scene with works that inspire and evoke a deep appreciation for the beauty and heritage of our area.”
