—This year the Paso Robles Rotary Club’s Winemakers’ Cook-off celebrates 25 years as one of the most anticipated events in the region. Tickets for the August 10 event are on sale now through the Winemakers’ Cookoff website.
Over 20 of the region’s best winemakers and breweries are battling it out for the Judges’ Awards and People’s Choice Award. Prizes are awarded for the best food served. The evening promises to be filled with top-quality wine, food, live music by Julie and the Rockin’ B’s (formerly Julie Beaver & the Bad Dogs), and fun.
The Winemakers’ Cookoff benefits higher education for local youth. When it started the cookoff 25 years ago, the Rotary Club’s goal was to provide $50,000 in scholarships. This year the expected amount is $100,000. “We are thrilled with that result! Congratulations to all of the wineries, breweries, volunteers, and sponsors who helped us to exceed our expectations! And it’s still the best wine and food event in North County,” said Vicki Silva.
As in years past, the exceptional winemakers of the Paso Robles region have very generously donated their time, wine, food, staff, and culinary expertise to make this event truly memorable.
Gates for this 21-plus event open at 5:30 p.m. ID is required. No children, pets, or ice chests are allowed. The Paso Robles Event Center is located at 2198 Riverside Ave. The event runs from 6-9 p.m. Tickets are $100/person, and $50/designated driver.
