The SLO CaliPaso Winery
tasting room, which opened in
May 2024, provides a luxurious
experience. Make sure to try the
general tasting, which includes
eight wines, and take a look at the
reserve list. The CaliPaso Cabernet
Sauvignon is a guest favorite; other
wines to try include the CaliPaso
2018 Chardonnay, the CaliPaso
2019 Tempranillo, and the CaliPaso
2019 Pinot Noir. Glenn notes that
CaliPaso also has “a beautiful Pro-
secco imported to our winery from
Italy that is a wonderful way to start
any evening.”
The high-caliber wines pro-
duced by CaliPaso have gained
recognition on an international
scale. The CaliPaso 2014 Cabernet
Sauvignon was awarded silver at
the 2023 San Antonio Stock Show
& Rodeo Wine Competition. The
CaliPaso 2019 Sauvignon Blanc
won best of class and double gold at
CaliPaso tasting room in San Luis Obispo.
