welcoming space where visitors
and locals can paint, craft, and get
creative with hands-on art experi-
ences.
Founded by local artist Karyn
Blaney, the
studio has
introduced
thousands
of people to
painting, mo-
saics, pottery,
glow-in-the-
dark painting,
and more.

Blaney, a
Kent State University graduate with
a bachelor’s in fine arts, moved to
Paso Robles from Ohio a decade
ago. She was drawn to teaching
because of her love for bringing
people together.
“I have an affinity for throwing
parties
and add-
ing an ele-
ment of
creativity,”
she says.
“As the
old adage
goes, love
what you
do and
you'll
never work a day in your life—and
I truly do love what I do.”
When Blaney first pitched a
Paint & Sip class, she said she was
met with skepticism.
“They told me people just don’t
attend these types of events,” she
recalls.

But she persisted—and her
first event sold out.
Word spread quickly, and
soon wineries, businesses, and
creative enthusiasts were reach-
ing out. Now, eight years later,
ArtSocial 805 helps inspire and
support thousands of people in
their creative pursuits through a
rotating lineup of unique work-
shops and experiences.

studio, you'll find a Creative
Menu waiting for you. Browse
the options, from paint pour-
ing and pottery to mosaics and
watercolor, and choose whatever
sparks your creativity. Once
you've selected your experience,
and your supplies are gathered,
you can relax, settle in, and enjoy
the creative process.
