Double the pleasure—Red Scooter
Deli opens a second location
When you find yourself in or
near downtown Paso Robles,
hungry and without much time to
grab something to eat, Red Scooter
Deli comes to the rescue! Give
them a call, order online, or drop
in. Pick up your order at the new
711 6th Street location, right next
to Robbins Field, across from the
Post Office.
Don’t despair! They are still at
the downtown location on Pine
Street, directly across from the
Downtown City Park. Leisurely
dining is still a thing to do at both
locations. The new, expanded
outdoor patio location on 6th and
Spring Plaza is ready to greet loyal
Red Scooter fans and welcome
newcomers! The new location has a
lovely covered patio, opens early at
6:30 a.m., serves beer and wine, and
includes an expansive parking lot
for easy access to the deli.
Over the years, the Red Scooter,
renowned for its mouthwatering
fresh ingredients, vegan options,
and warm hospitality, has become
a foodie destination for locals and
visitors alike. Traveling fans of the
deli make it a point to stop here,
as it's the perfect halfway point
between Southern California and
the Bay Area.
Fresh, locally-sourced food
The deli opens early for
breakfast, serving everything from
bagels, lox, egg scrambles, and
breakfast sandwiches, to gluten-
free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Locals and visitors exploring the
beautiful Paso Robles wine country
can enjoy meals on the patio or take
a picnic to a winery or the nearby
park.
The food is built on fresh, lo-
cally sourced ingredients, including
pastries and breads either baked
in-house or from local bakeries.

A favorite since 2010
Stephanie Johnston has been
operating the Red Scooter Deli
since 2010 after purchasing it from
the former owners. She works
alongside her staff, taking orders,
preparing the food, serving,
checking on customers, and bus-
sing tables. “I’m very hands-on,”
said Johnston. “This is a family-
run business and I enjoy mentor-
ing the staff and helping them
learn and develop job skills.” Her
efforts are apparent in the cheerful
and helpful attitudes of the deli
staff, and Red Scooter Deli’s con-
