Bijou offers elegance and
sophistication to shoppers
Nestled in the heart of down-
town Paso Robles, Bijou offers
plenty of high-quality clothing,
jewelry, accessories, and more to
fashionable shoppers for them-
selves, their babies, and toddlers.
Owner Camilla Burns opened the
store in 2016 with an eye for high-
quality and timeless pieces to
complement the closet
for every visitor
and also offers
quality clothes
and toys in
the fun baby
and toddler
corner.
“We are
excited to
be celebrat-
ing our eighth
anniversary this
July and are truly
grateful for all the local
support we’ve had over the years. It
hasn’t always been easy, but we’ve
pulled through thanks to our regu-
lar customers, both local and out
of towners who shop with us every
time they come through town,”
owner Camilla Burns said.
Get ready for summer with the
perfect clothing items at Bijou,
such as casual and formal dresses.
For the chilly Paso Robles evenings,
make sure to grab a cozy sweater
or leather jacket. Add some sparkle
to your look with jewelry from
Waxing Poetic, VSA, or Collec-
tive Hearts; accessories such as
a modern bag and hats are on
display. Burns notes that “we have
a wide range of price points to suit
everyone’s budget.”
The Bijou Baby & Toddler
section is full of delightful toys
that can be found exclusively in
the store, such as the Maileg Mice;
Don’t forget
the babies and
toddlers section!
children can
enjoy playing with
the mice hiking
family, chef, and
royal family who all
come with adorable
accessories. Take a
look at the quality clothes
brands Milkbarn Kids and Posh
Peanut with playful patterns and
colors.
“Quality and effortless elegance
are two qualities that we look for
in our products while quality and
customer service are at the top of
our mind for our valued custom-
ers,” reads the website.
Burns draws on her experiences
living in various places around the
world, including England, Sweden,
and Brazil, when curating the col-
lection in Bijou. A focus on elegant,
trendy, and diverse clothing and
accessories options can always be
found at Bijou.
“I think it is important to let
our locals know how much we val-
ue them and their support of our
small business. All the businesses
in the downtown core have so
much to offer in different ways but
cannot survive on tourists alone.
Mid-week shopping is a great way
to get to know the owners, have idle
conversations, and catch up on life
on the Central Coast. Parking is
free and there is always a spot to be
had,” Burns said.
Bijou also gives back to the
community with fundraisers, such
as the famous Wine 4 Paws spring
weekend, where proceeds go to-
wards local animal shelters. Burns
notes that the store is pet-friendly
and welcomes all creatures, with
treats and ‘puppuccinos’ on hand.
Bijou is located at 815 12th
Street in Paso Robles. Open Monday
through Saturday from 10 a.m. to
6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to
5 p.m. For more information, visit
